Another spinal tap today. We got in the room for the procedure, and Owen was napping even before they came in to give him the sedation. He was making up for not napping yesterday. The Cardiologist that was there to do the sedation changed up his sedation meds due to his SVT. They are just concerned that the others might have put him back in to SVT. They give one that has an amnesia effect so that he doesn’t remember the procedure, one that makes him sleepy, one for the pain, so many… he did really good. He just didn’t want to get up afterward. He just slept, and slept, and slept…
They said to just let him sleep for a while. The nurse finally came in and said she could take off his bandage while he was still sleeping, and that was what got him up
It wasn’t too bad, and then he got to go home. One more spinal tap next week, then we will find out what the next stage of the treatment is going to be.
