Good days… yesterday we had fun inside and out. This morning, we went to get Logan’s haircut, then went to the park after. It was a fun day.

Well, if you didn’t know Owen was currently getting loads of chemo, you wouldn’t be able to tell by the amount of energy this boy has. I can’t get over how well he is feeling. I keep praying that it continues. All of your prayers must be really helping!! Thank you!
He has been having a great couple of days. I really thought he was going to be worn out this weekend after last Wednesday’s treatment along with the doses Thursday through Saturday, but I was wrong. Friday was a beautiful day. We went outside after naps for some fun in the car, and did some digging. Saturday was super special! He got to see his cousins in the morning AND go to a birthday party in the evening! What a fun day!! Today was quite rainy, so we played inside. Sad to see the weekend end…
So glad to hear that the weekend was so great! Hopefully this week is just as good!
So far, so good… The home nurse came this morning to give his second dose of the Cytarabine. He felt good all day and even played outside with the neighbors before dinner. Hope his energy continues!
On a sadder note… I talked with my Mom today and they had to put down their dog yesterday. He was such a smart, loyal dog, and my Dad’s companion. He will be sadly missed. Here is a picture taken of him several years ago.

Sorry I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday. We had a beautiful day! It was gorgeous outside, and we had the privilege of celebrating a birthday with one of Owen’s good friends, Anna. We played at the park for a long time and had a blast!!
Today, not as fun… Owen’s appointment was at 8:30 this morning. Nanny came with us (which was much needed, and appreciated). He was sedated, and they did his lumbar puncture around 10 am. He woke up for a little while after that, but not long. He fell back asleep and didn’t wake up till close to lunch time. So the big thing today was his hydration. To get the one chemo drug, he had to be very hydrated otherwise the medicine is really rough on your bladder. They started him on fluids when we first got there, and then they had to keep getting him to urinate to check the density. Well, it wasn’t until 4:45pm that his pee was finally good and they could give him the medicine. It went in over a half hour, so we didn’t get out of there until 5:30!! He did awesome today. I was so proud of him. He got so many medicines, and he cooperated the whole time. He even met a new friend, Brody, in the play room. We spent many hours in there today.
Tomorrow home nursing comes to the house to give him more chemo. He gets it for the next 3 days, so they left his tubies in so they wouldn’t have to re-access him. Hope he feels good tonight. After all he got today, I don’t know how his body is going to react.
What a brave little guy! Praying that the next few days go just as well!

Another great day here. Owen’s cough is going away, so I am hoping that means that his counts are going to be good on Wednesday.
He had a fun morning. Miss Jessica came over to play with the boys while I ran out for a little while. They had so much fun!! He didn’t want her to leave.
Afternoon quiet time consisted of Owen eating a lollipop from Easter… it was quite messy.
